For it has been a seemingly endless summer. My daughter, Brooke, went to Missouri with her mother for the summer, and she’s finally coming home today. Prior to her mother moving this year, I had never been away from her for more than a week. Even that had only happened once when her mother and I first split.
Now she’s coming back for the school year, and there’s a whole summer of stuff that we need to catch up on before it gets cold. I bought her a new bike in the spring, so we could go on bike rides, now we’ll actually be able to do that. We’ll go the YMCA and use our memberships to go swimming. I’m excited.
