Tonight I went to see “Hellboy 2″ with my mom, aunt, nephew and second cousin. The movie was rated pg-13, and the boys are 8 and 9 years old, so we figured they could handle it. Everything was great until the previews came on. Suddenly we saw “This preview is rated R” on the screen, and then the preview for the movie “Quarantine” which freaked both kids out. Once Hellboy started they were fine, but I am still upset that they showed an R-rated preview before a PG-13 movie.
This just doesn’t make sense and definitely doesn’t seem right. Both kids will probably have nightmares tonight, because of the previews they saw rather than the movie they watched. Can we no longer trust the ratings on movies because of the previews that are shown?

Being a single guy, working a full time job, and owning a whole house can be overwhelming. Perhaps it’s because I never learned to clean right when I was young. Maybe it’s because my mom used to yell “You know!” at me when I thought my room was clean, she insisted it wasn’t, and I asked what else I had to clean. I don’t know, but I really suck at cleaning and can never seem to keep up.
I decided that this weekend is going to be the weekend that I get everything clean, so I started off the day in the bathroom. There’s still alot to go in there, but it’s already looking better. Once that’s done I’m moving on to the dishes and the kitchen. Once those two are done, I think I’m going to recuit help to get the rest of the house spottless and start trying to habitually keep it clean.
